Pros

A decent work/life balance given it's remote, unlimited PTO, paid holidays, and a really interesting industry to work in.

Cons

I worked at Appriss for several years. The company has many dedicated and talented people, but frequent and abrupt leadership changes have created instability. Employees are often left struggling as reporting lines, priorities, and goals shift constantly. I have watched several talented people leave just because they reported into not one, not two, but three different managers over a course of a year. That is no way to treat an employee, run a department, or achieve business goals. Several key executive roles remain unfilled, including Head of HR and Head of Sales, leaving major gaps in the business and its direction. Certain executives seem to move from one department to another without clear purpose, and the CEO (“Os”) has offered little transparency or steady leadership following the company’s sale to Gemspring Capital, and his behavior toward one employee that I knew bordered on inappropriate. Product teams have trouble staying on track with releases and continue to fall behind, with more talk about innovation than actual progress. Cost-cutting has become the primary focus, and overall, the environment feels reactive rather than strategic. I would not recommend joining the company for more than a short stint, as roles, expectations, and long-term goals are likely to change frequently.
