Pros
Working with the kids is very rewarding. They can absolutely melt your heart and make your bad day get better. The staff genuinely cares about the kids and wants the best for them.
Cons
The staff is incredibly gossipy. At one moment you will be in a room and it seems like they are all friends but as soon as one girl leaves they start talking about her....don't be naive enough to think they won't talk about you. Even though this is a daycare/preschool you would think it would be full of positivity but it is quite the opposite, I felt like I was fighting to get out of negative conversations. The staff is expected to go above and beyond but are only payed $8 per hour and even tho the will is there for the kids it is extremely exhausting. Lead teachers make a max of $10 per hour....not worth all you are expected to do. Also do not expect to move up in this company, it is rare. You are expected to buy the mandatory shirts for your uniform....which are not cheap at all and they wear out fast so you have to keep buying them IF you stick around but knowing their turn over rate you wont. Buy a lot of vitamin C and "Airborne" because working with children and a lot of people in a closed space you WILL get sick. I am not exaggerating when I say I was sick for 3 of the 4 months I worked there.
