Firstly, the founder does not make anywhere near $4m a week and it sounds like you have heard this through unfounded rumours – it is certainly not a fact. The founder started out as a contractor himself and has worked incredibly hard over 30 years to build his own company and get to where he is today. He uses his experience and success to inspire others who want to run their own businesses or work for themselves. Appco Australia is a professional sales and fundraising business. Our clients, including charities, pay for the services we provide. These payments come from their fundraising or marketing budgets and are not taken from people’s donations. It is absolutely true that 100% of their donations go directly to the charity. We hope that clarifies that point for you. Appco Australia is the first to admit that direct sales and independent contracting are not for everyone and commission does mean that you are paid per sale made or donor acquired. This is made clear to every contractor in the contract they sign with a marketing company and it does suits a lot of people. On the other hand, independent contractors should not be treated like employees and should absolutely be able to determine their working days and hours.
