Pros
Decent pay, good work life balance. Workers are generally friendly and easy to get along with - there are no raging a-holes there.
Cons
Senior executives starting with the CEO are very hands off leading to a lack of accountability from the top down. There is a clear lack of management maturity and that gets reflected in the results. This organization is overly bureaucratic and treat it's employees like mindless peons. You are constantly bombarded with directives to take this or that training, or acknowledge this or that notice of something or save all your emails so that the czars in legal, HR and IT can all do their CYAs. Working with the IT team is a disaster - too many meetings requiring too many people (so they become difficult to schedule) and too many approvals and too many people who think they have authority to veto you when they really don't. There are actually many quality people here but how we work is atrocious and managers have no appreciation of the importance of time.
