The team are genuinely passionate about bike packing and care deeply about sustainable practices. Working here offers autonomy and a chance to make a difference, it's great if you're a self starter and enjoy being in a team where everyone mucks in. People at Apidura are kind, caring, and authentic, and a lot of fun to work with.

Cons

It's a small company, there's a lot to figure out still with practices and processes, and it can be challenging maintaining the right balance to suit everyone's working styles.

Pros

Apidura offers something refreshingly different to the typical corporate workplace. The London team is full of bright, kind people who bring both fun and integrity to work. The sustainability values are authentic and deeply embedded in its direction. A relaxed, informal office culture, Wednesday morning flexibility, and decent pay for the industry all make it an attractive place for brand fans and cyclist enthusiasts.

Cons

Apidura presents as a purpose-led, progressive company - but the culture can feel closed and rigid. Despite a flat structure on paper, power is concentrated in the hands of the founders, who lead remotely with a highly involved, top-down style. Without an HR function or meaningful mechanisms for feedback, people lack a space for support, growth or honest conversation. The commitment to sustainability is strong on the product side but doesn’t fully extend to people practices. Development is rarely prioritised, and managers lack the scope or support to nurture others. Feedback is often critical and micro, contributing to a cautious environment where people second guess what’s expected. The lack of financial transparency, combined with minimal long-term planning, creates ambiguity around goals and success. Benefits are basic, and some company stances like discouraging the Cycle to Work scheme, can feel at odds with the outward identity. The physical office space is makeshift and temporary, and at odds with polished outward brand experience. Apidura’s ‘anti-corporate’ stance is part of its appeal, but over time, it can feel insular. Hiring for fit over diversity of thought and favouring those who align closely with a mindset. It can feel hard to belong or progress for those who don’t fit this mould.

Pros

Some of the most passionate people I have worked with. They care deeply about the bikepacking community and want to create meaningful products / experiences.

Cons

It’s a small company with difficult founders who have poor leadership and communication skills. People are made to feel replaceable and worthless. If you can get over that it’s a great place to be.
