Pros

A wonderful, inspirational company to work for, with highly creative and multinational projects. An amazing team, led by founder Belinda Try. My role was only a positive experience.

Cons

I had to learn fast, but I loved it! With many projects on the go at the same time, it took a little while to get a proper handle on my position.

Pros

Generous pay, nice product, opportunity to work on great projects.

Cons

This company expanded before they were ready. Their internal process is extremely antiquated and although they say they're open to suggestions on how to be better, they won't act on it. They don't have the infrastructure or cashflow to work on such large international commercial projects. Products arrive damaged to the client way too often, leaving clients waiting at least 4 months for a new product. The owners of the company began to create strong relationships with some of the best hotel ownership companies and A+D firms at the beginning of the company's life. However, the last decade they've destroyed those relationships by delivering orders multiple months late, delivering damaged products, and not providing appropriate solutions to these problems. The owners do not recognize that they've done this to their clients (or maybe they do but they don't care enough) and get upset with their sales staff when they can't lock in sales with these companies. They don't realize that poor treatment of project orders in the past/present day destroys future relationships/sales. When sales are down, the whole company feels it. Paychecks are late 80% of the time and they don't offer additional compensation to apologize for it. You have to chase the CEO, owner and accountant to get your paycheck and expense reimbursement paid multiple times for months. Some employees are paid on time, while others wait weeks. They typically pay the Melbourne staff on time because they have to see them in person, whereas they don't see their remote staff so they are the ones who get paid late. The CEO constantly harasses the sales staff when they don't meet his absolutely unrealistically achievable sales targets. They then base their budgets off these sales targets (which could never be met unless you're God), giving them inaccurate financial reports. This is why their finances are dreadful. Although the product is nice, the marketing material is beautiful, and the projects they work on are amazing, do not be fooled. The owners can be lovely and charming, telling you everything you want to here, but they don't prioritize their employees at all. All they care about is bringing in money to fix this sinking ship of a company. Please consider yourself warned and stay away from apaiser.
