Pros

*Opportunity to learn a lot on the job, Udemy membership too * Some amazing people work there * Nice office space and work from home option with all the equipment you’d need including a monitor, desk chair, powerful laptop * 25 days holiday not including bank holidays * Flexible working hours * Lots of socials

Cons

* Free parking is on the 10th floor of a multi-storey with narrow turns (while the top dogs park down low), can’t count how many people have scraped their cars * Benefits aren’t the best, e.g. max contribution to pension is 3% (they recently said they upgraded the benefits package in an attempt of increasing employee satisfaction, but people who’ve been there for a few years will notice nothing has changed, they’ve just dressed up the existing benefits with some new words or made some people aware of benefits they didn’t know already existed/only a few people were taking advantage of) * Diverse work is a pro, but also a con as you can (and will) be forced down a route which isn’t on the job spec, could be for weeks could be for months * A lot of internal politics and secrecy * Workplace bullying is real, if they want you gone you’ll know and feel it, seen it happen on more than one occasion * Favouritism is apparent * Sub par training * Awful pay (with no regular pay reviews, allegedly they’re working on this but they say that a lot and things don’t change) - If you have recently had a pay review, good luck getting another one for atleast 2-3 years * They say your hours are 37.5 per week, but they’ll make you work much longer. It’s just a way of justifying the lower than market average salaries * Low levels of appreciation, too little too late is the consensus from a lot of people who have left. Only when you hand in your notice is when they’ll listen to you and recognise you * Notice period is 3 months, probation period is 6 months * Communication between departments is shockingly poor, managers don’t listen, a lot of false promises. Have to shout (over and over again) simply for a chance to be heard * Clients and projects are won by putting on a show of smoke and mirrors, and then the developers are left to suffer. Management will always side with clients over employees in a “customer is always right” fashion to keep them happy even if they’re to blame for some issues * There was a pay freeze during peak covid, certain employees were told this also meant a promotion freeze however people higher up the ladder were getting promotions left right centre

Thanks for taking the time to leave a review and for your contribution to the Apadmi team. We’re sorry to hear of your concerns. We are conscious that we operate in a very competitive jobs marketplace. We regularly review our salaries to make sure they are inline with market benchmarks while still allowing Apadmi’s rates to remain attractive and commercially viable. Regular salary reviews are now in place with the last one being November 2021 and this is now an annual process for everyone. We recognise that the work here is diverse , at times demanding so the teams have already been restructured to make them smaller and friendlier. We are actively focused on improving processes, managing project assignments, offering greater visibility on upcoming projects and clearly communicating priorities. We have taken on board your comments on the culture which will be taken seriously and reviewed. The external car park construction is unfortunately beyond our control but all bar one of our allocated spaces are on the 10th floor. During COVID when the carpark hasn’t been at capacity, there has been some flexibility with vacant spaces which are open to all on a first come, first served basis. Apadmi continues to provide free car parking to our team and none of the spaces are reserved for individuals. Overall, the company has grown considerably during this time and like most, it has not been without its pains and challenges but we know that we have a team of amazing people that make it all possible. We restructured the management team in the summer of 2021 to help deliver change and will continue to review benefits, culture and ways of working. Thanks for your feedback and we wish you all the best for your next role.

Pros

It's just like working in a big, friendly, supportive team. Managers nurture and encourage growth. There's freedom to learn beyond your specified role. Feels like the products we create really make a positive difference to peoples' lives. We are treated like adults, trusted to get on with things and not micro-managed. Good core benefits, and these are being evolved and enhanced. Flexible working is fully embraced, making work/life balance a lot better

Cons

Need to keep improving the benefits eg Healthcare, gym membership etc Maybe have a series of benefits which people can choose from?

Pros

Working at Apadmi has been a rewarding experience. Even in a non-billable role, I always felt that my work was valued and that I was contributing to the success of the wider business. There is a genuine sense of teamwork across departments, and people are always willing to share their knowledge and support one another. The culture is one of the company's biggest strengths. Colleagues are friendly, approachable, and passionate about what they do. The environment encourages collaboration and provides opportunities to learn, develop new skills, and take ownership of your work. Leadership communicates openly and makes an effort to keep employees informed about company developments and goals. There is a strong focus on continuous improvement, and employee feedback is taken seriously. Apadmi is a fast-moving business, which can sometimes mean priorities shift quickly, but this also creates opportunities to gain varied experience and make a meaningful impact.

Cons

Career progression opportunities can vary depending on the team. While there are opportunities to learn and develop, clearer pathways for advancement and more consistency in development planning would be beneficial.
