Pros

Powerhouse company in many industries, general good work place if you have good people in your office, average pay, 15 vacation days per yer from day 1 (plus personal holidays, sick time, and company holidays), becoming much more transparent about career and pay progression

Cons

Working in consulting means long hours, even if they try to hide it when you are first hired. Always understaffed because people quit when it becomes too demanding, which ends up putting a higher burden on everyone else. Some offices (not all!) are still an old boys club, with the men favored at every level (even new hires). Constant buying of new companies and selling off of parts of Aon results in people not using the same systems, and people getting nervous whenever there is a big announcement ("will my department be leaving aon?")

Pros

Great role to transition into the insurance industry. Many resources and opportunities to expand technical knowledge. Client visits are great if you like to travel. Lucky to have a manager who doesn’t micromanage. If you’re organized, driven, and good at communicating you’ll do great.

Cons

Can be stressful at times around busy renewal cycles. Travel often depending on industry and clients.
