Pros

The only pro is that it is a remote job.

Cons

I read the reviews, I did my research and still tried to give it a chance. Where to even start...If you enjoy being lied to consistently throughout training and having to prey on recycled leads that despise Angi, this is the place for you. The leads are 100% recycled, so these unfortunate contractors are getting 40-50 calls from different reps every single week. The trainers even encourage this saying not take notes on the calls even when the business owner didn't want to sign on. Not like the outdated CRM would even allow it. The sales trainers have less experience and knowledge than 99% of entry level reps. Over 130 people are trained at a single time, but split into groups of 30+ to ensure that everyone can be monitored like toddlers in daycare. Please save yourself the time, the only people posting positive reviews are either manipulated to do so by management or are complete drones to the lies they spill. This company has over 2,000 verified complaints on BBB, as well as being non accredited by them as well. Oh and don't forget the 7 million dollar lawsuit they were convicted on only to change their name a year later. The only thing tanking worse than their stock price is the company values. No matter who you call, you have zero idea if there is an actual need for contractors in that area (hence the fake leads). Don't worry however, at least the lies you spill to the business owners are straight from a script stating that every single area has a HIGH DEMAND FOR PROS. Finally, if all of that didn't deter you from this joke of a company just know that the script they worship at Angi is basically the way you would belittle someone. Maybe asking if every other sentence MAKES SENSE isn't the best way to gain customers. You are taught to interrupt the prospect and ensure the only words they squeeze in are their credit card numbers. (Insert candid scripted response from Angi below)

Pros

The culture is generally positive, and leadership is accessible. Management is willing to meet with employees and listen to concerns. There are talented people throughout the organization, and the work can be rewarding if you enjoy sales and helping businesses grow.

Cons

The biggest challenge is the compensation structure. The company promotes uncapped commissions, but many employees feel earnings are effectively controlled through continually increasing quotas and changing performance targets. Revenue and nominal goals are adjusted so frequently that it can feel like the finish line is always moving. What's particularly frustrating is that the majority of the sales team often struggles to reach 100% of quota, yet goals continue to rise. This creates the perception that compensation expense is being managed through quota increases rather than by allowing top performers to fully benefit from the revenue they generate. Over time, this can discourage high achievers. Employees who consistently perform well are often expected to deliver significantly more results each year just to maintain the same level of compensation. When exceptional performance is met with ever-increasing targets instead of proportionally increasing rewards, motivation suffers.
