Strong hands-on experience with a wide range of oil, gas, and chemicals testing Exposure to a fast-paced lab environment with a lot of instrument variety. Good colleagues and teamwork within the lab

No formal overtime pay — only informal time off in lieu (TOIL) arrangements that were inconsistently applied Unpredictable and often long hours, including work during and outside of public holidays depending on vessel schedules Poor communication and lack of transparency from upper management No guaranteed or structured salary reviews, even after extended service or increased responsibility Workload could be excessive at times with limited recognition for extra effort
