I dont recommend working here - Production Operator Amphenol Invotec Employee Review

I was a graduate process engineer (technical team) from 2021 - 2022 - Technical Manager is really positive, enthusiastic and treats you well - In general colleagues are really nice, technical team and operators are all really helpful - Can be a low stress job - Hands-on process engineering experience - Exposure to different environments. Mixture of time spent at a desk, on the shop floor, in the laboratory and the workshop - Develops your assertiveness, proactiveness, decisiveness - Some decent lean manufacturing training from SIG consultants - Get to work with different teams (quality, production, purchasing etc) - Salary, benefits and work life balance were fine

- The workplace seemed unprepared for university graduates, with little structure or training provided - though I might have been unlucky because the more experienced engineer who I was supposed to be learning from had left soon after I started. - Weak safety culture.. improperly stored chemicals everywhere and overly casual approach by management, leaky machines, safety and cleaning SOPs not followed, this is a bad accident waiting to happen. - Not much sense of salary progression or career development - No sick pay given and long notice period - Low stress but flip side is that it felt undemanding, little sense of expectations or professional development. Ambitious people might feel frustrated or stifled in this role. - Site location isn't great, no nice shops or places for lunch nearby, not near town centre.

Easy enough job, but unsafe work practices!

Bad management, endless shift work and unsafe work environment.
