Pros
Aside from good benefits and awesome colleagues, I would say the thing that sets Amida apart is the combination of high expectations paired with a supportive culture. Some days are tough, and long, and frustrating - absolutely. But everyone from the top to the bottom recognizes that burnout is a real thing, that life outside work can be all-consuming at times, and that occasionally you just need some space. Lots of places offer work from home options, generous leave policies, etc., but at Amida there is an intangible atmosphere of support, concern, appreciation, and respect that is second to none. Add to that a great team, interesting work, and the thrill of seeing ideas become reality on a weekly basis.
Cons
The hours are long. There are menial tasks involved (for everyone, not just junior employees). Being a startup, it's not a good fit for everyone, and departures can be disruptive to such a small team. Few things go according to plan. And to address the elephant in the room - no, no one agrees with absolutely every decision that is made. I won't speak for those who have chosen to leave, but I can say that lots of us here deeply enjoy working at Amida.
