When there's work, there's work. When the gas and oil industry is doing good, that's when there is work available. So much, that sometimes, Saturdays were mandatory. But you're making money and paying off bills.

Sadly, now that there's a disruption in the gas and oil industry due to politics and this administration, there isn't much work going as it affects this company's industry. The trickling affect.Lay-offs occur in order for the company to stay afloat. Unless you're in the office, its going to be a HOT environment during the summer, and a COLD one during the winter.

Great honest hard work for high energy individuals, lots of opportunity to learn a lot about metallurgical processes and predictable scheduling (for the most part)

Much of the equipment is in various states of disrepair and often isn't fixed unless it makes the situation exceedingly unsafe, as a new employee I was told to hop on a truck (manipulator) and learn very complex tasks first time with absolutely zero guidance, safety meetings/tests involved an answer key no direct discussion, no training just fill in the multiple choice, numerous OSHA violations, and for the type of work the pay drastically undervalues it's employees.
