Cons
I worked at American National Insurance Company for a year, and unfortunately, it was a deeply disappointing experience. From the start, I was never made to feel welcomed or supported. Training was minimal to nonexistent, leaving me to navigate complex responsibilities with little guidance. The overall workplace culture was cold and uninviting—colleagues were generally unfriendly and unapproachable, which made it difficult to build any kind of positive professional rapport. Leadership was largely absent, offering very little communication, feedback, or direction. It felt like I was left to sink or swim on my own, with no effort made to help me succeed. I’m giving this company a one-star rating, and honestly, that feels generous. I would not recommend this workplace to anyone seeking a supportive or growth-oriented environment.
