Pros
The review written on Oct 16, that tried to put a good spin on AMID was written by HR. Its actually getting a bit hysterical, they were huddled in the corner of their room, trying to put a positive spin on the all of the horrible reviews. After Harvey, a group within AMID started keeping track of all of the resignations and it was like 30% of the Houston office. With every major integration, none of the employees come on board.
Cons
Why is working for AMID like having Cancer? First there is the diagnosis. It is shocking, earth shattering and you start thinking that your life may be over. It is a slog of doctors appointments, chemo, radiation, you are around other sick people. Miserable. Trying to keep a brave face for your family while trying to get up out of bed every day shakes you to the core. This is what it is like to work at AMID. You trudge into work. You get yelled at. You are at the whim of a dictator. You feel as if there is no hope. You look around and all you see is misery. Then the scans come in and you are cancer free. That is the day that you receive a new job offer. There is a beam of sunlight that shines through the darkness. You get to resign from the worst company in the world. The weight is lifted from your shoulders. You smile more, you have an extra hop in your step. The birds sing, and the breeze blows and ultimately, there is hope.
