Pros

Before joining AHIMA I met with several employees and executive leaders that clearly communicated the current state & growth strategy and how much they value their employees- and after 1 year of being with AHIMA, I know it was all true. There is incredible energy and willingness, across the business to work together, pivot when needed, and quickly onboard and orient new hires, so we can continue to support our members, customers, partners- and each other! Good work-life balance, great healthcare benefits, and many learning & development opportunities are all a part of joining this team. Getting your birthday off is a good perk too!

Cons

Lots of new systems and people currently being put in place, but confident that the RIGHT systems are being deployed and the RIGHT people are being added to the team.

Pros

During my time at AHIMA, I found the organization to be mission-driven, with a genuine commitment to advancing health information management. My colleagues were collaborative and supportive, and I appreciated the opportunities to work on meaningful projects that contributed to the industry. The company offered flexibility in work arrangements and encouraged professional development.

Cons

In recent years, AHIMA has undergone significant restructuring, which created some uncertainty and impacted morale. My role was ultimately eliminated due to organizational changes, and I observed similar impacts across other departments. Communication around these changes could have been more transparent, and there were periods of ambiguity regarding roles and responsibilities.
