Pros
People in the organization are very professional. Company offers the opportunity to change and try out different roles, which helps employees broaden their skills and experience.
Cons
Sr. management's aggressiveness dont match the aspirations. Payments industry is changing fast but Amex lags competition. Very risk averse company. None of the the bets it had made from acquisition standpoint seem to have worked. There is good bit of deadwood that shall be cleaned up to make organization more nimble and agile.
