The ACLU's attempts at building a culture of equity and kindness are admirable, there are some real issues reinforcing them at the ACLU. As a result, many people just don't address issues for fear of how they will be received, and there are more people than should be that are banking on that. I see some of the best and brightest eventually just walking away.
