Pros

Very experienced company in the Telecom Domain. Everyone is protected under a thick layer of Managers/ Directors & getting help from within is easy. Pay is mid-range, most employees stay for 10+ years in the company as they find their work satisfying and limited opportunities outside. People leave due to stagnation or immigration(visa) problems. All Managers in the org are very well experienced in how the work gets done inside the company.

Cons

US Employees - The company stopped applying H1B and Green Cards since mid 2017. So, immigration wise, it is not a good bet to enter/ be in. India Employees - Beware of entering Ensemble/ Legacy Billing system. You will work with Cobol & Amdocs internal C-program MACROS. After 4-5 years, you will realize there are no jobs on Technology side as you did not learn what is current in the market. Policy changes - Are usually done under the table and the system of informing all impacted employees is broken. This is a workflow issue, do not mistake it for the managers. Promotions - will not happen as there is a huge backlog of people eligible for next role but no positions exist. The company is not growing & so the managers are not to blame for stagnation within the whole org. As a entry level position, do not worry about it. The problem is more for 5+ years on wards.

Pros

Unlimited Vacation, excellent insurance, matching 401K, strong focus on wellbeing initiatives, and good career growth

Cons

Constant lay-offs causing low employee morale and low job security. No salary increases in the US for past 2 years and told you are "a high cost resource", which devalues employees' contributions.
