Pros for this company is the job flexibility (fixed routes, p/t, f/t, independent contractor/drivers, on-call routes). Gives employees more choices for jobs/hours and contracted jobs better service. This company is run like a family that truly cares about their employees, while still providing their clients with the highest standards in transportation and courier services. This sounds like an advertisement but its not. I was impressed by how much this company cares for its employees and clients. If you want to work for a professional company that has fair pay and benefits (see pay scale), good management, and flexible hours, Am-Tran could be for you. Just note this is a transportation company built on timely deliveries and client satisfaction, so they don't tolerate unprofessional conduct. You should only apply if you are qualified for the position.
Cons
Working for Am-Tran was challenging enough because they expected their drivers and support staff to constantly strive to give their best every day. They are always working on improving their customer service through communication and training. There were drivers and workers there that were very happy and wanted a future with the company . The company is growing, but there was no clear path for advancement.
