It was exciting to serve on the Board of the "Guiding the the Recovery of Women" Project. A solid learning experience as my colleagues and I were a dynamic team with years of experience, diverse areas of expertise and long standing professional careers. Writing proposals, providing technical expertise, creating Training Manuals for the US State Department was both a professional and personally gratifying endeavor. Travelling oversees for the purpose of providing Technical Assistance, conducting workshops and trainings was the icing on the cake!
Cons
The US State Department was forced to close down the Project due to budgetary constraints.
