Pros

First of all, I would like to emphasize that this review is about Altum Partners, LLP and not about Altum, LLP. There are two companies with the similar name. Pros. People: The people are great! Everybody is willing to help you when you get stuck. This is especially important for the first year associates. The Company promotes an open door policy. Even partner’s doors are always open. Just come on in and ask. Tax Experience: You will not be doing the same monotonous and boring type of work every day and you will not be preparing just a small piece of a project. You will be working on the whole projects, such as: extensions, tax returns, provisions, etc. It is a huge pro for people who love challenges and love to work on interesting projects. Flexibility:The Company is very family oriented. If your child gets sick (or you have other important events) you have the ability to work from home. Team Building Events: Small perks like Thursday Lunches together, Movie Day, Annual Summer Outings, and Post-Season Parties are always appreciated by employees. Join the Company in May-July and you will not miss it☺. Busy Season: The industry is setting certain hours that people work during the busy season. I would say that at Altum Partners work 48-54 hours is the busy season on average. This is nothing compare to the crazy hours my friends work for in the Big 4s/BPM. Atmosphere: The atmosphere is warm and friendly. People have nice sense of humor. A good joke helps to get through the busy season. Trust me.

Cons

I believe It would greatly increase efficiency and productivity if partners decided to upgrade company’s laptops. Current ones are pretty slow and heavy. Most of the newcomers would love to have more training during the low season. (Looks like HR already working on this.)
