Pros
I made one good friend there. He left before I did. Just didn't come back to work one day, which was a very common occurrence. I hope he's doing better now.
Cons
In my last job, I was isolated in an office of my own. In this job, I felt isolated in an office full of people. Never was I made to feel less welcome and more uncomfortable. Unprofessional behaviour throughout the office, especially from some of the men. I experienced blatant bullying at work, which was neither questioned nor confronted, alongside vile expressions of homophobia, racism, and transphobia just desks away, and even more so on my break. When I brought it up in casual conversation with someone, they just said, people needed to "grow a thicker skin", and "stop whining about so much." Higher management is barely even there. The managers I did see were overworked and had no idea what was expected of them. One of the teams had an especially bad reputation. I was told not to "cross" their team leader, which, when explained to me, meant to do whatever she asked of me, because she was the company's "golden child" who brought in the money for the business. Not to mention, all the customer complaints. Anyway, there was one particular rumour circling right before I left that the company was being investigated for fraud and could potentially pay millions, but, whether true or not, I have no idea. The company and its higher management never made an effort to dispel any rumours or claims.
