The biggest Pro about this company that the training is superior. Even if you don't consider a future in sales with Alterra, it's a great to learn how to sell at the door. They emphasized on the importance of a great first impression and how to gain one's trust within seconds of contact of the potential customer. They have endless resources of training and motivation that can be accessed from any mobile device. Make a decent amount of money in a short amount of time.

They skew their statistics and averages for recruiting purposes. Pay isn't the greatest (compared to other pest control companies). When asked why, they say they pay less to motivate us to sell more. Recruiting (depending on the regional management you're under) and be very deceiving. So be WARY. Make sure everything that you and your manager wrote down in your contract is approved by the Vice President of the company. Incentives are reserved for the top 20% salesmen, if that. Not for true improvements or percentage increases. That would motivate more employees to work harder. It's REALLY easy to lose money and not make your backend checks if you're new to the industry.
