The verbal/first formal offer I was given had vacation, sick, and personal time. I was then asked to virtually sign a new contract only bc “you are starting a week later” only to find out that the new contract did not include any PTO. When I asked HR about the issue I was told that contract employees do not get PTO, but 4% in lieu. I then emailed the HR rep who admitted in writing that his verbal offer that included PTO was wrong, when I presented this to Mgt, nothing was done. Insulted, I stayed until I could find a new position. An honest mistake ? Perhaps, but that they did ZERO to remedy it speaks for itself.
