Pros
Fantastic boss, no micromanagement and I hear from him maybe once a week...if that. Wonderful coworkers that are always just a call away. We work in a very dense and high volume area, which may promote a bit more cooperation than the rest of country, but it's made the job so much more enjoyable. There is a ton of freedom to make your own schedule. There are company supplied vehicles.
Cons
Training wasn't the best. You may not be able to train for most things experienced in the field, but most FSE's were thrown straight into service with minimal training and no OJT. Working in a high volume area with many coworkers definitely helped me learn a lot in a very short period of time, can't speak for the rest of the country. Pay isn't bad but could be higher.
There are occasional long days and long drives. Depending on the commodity you work on you may need to stay in a hotel out of state for a day or two
