Pros

Amazing clients, team environment, community relationships.

Cons

Extremely toxic and uneducated management (unethical, gaslighting, harassment, protect abusive employees), micromanagement, outdated policies and work methods, employees are burnt out because management treats them like they are incompetent, when in reality, management could learn a thing or two from most of their employees. I would not recommend this place to anyone who is passionate about human rights, teamwork, critical thinking, and progressive politics.

Pros

The clients and the staff are amazing

Cons

Upper management is horrible and shady. They don’t deserve their jobs as head as a HUMAN SERVICE organization because it’s requires morals to do so and they obviously have none. They will illegally dismiss you if they don’t like you. They honestly don’t have clue what’s going on with their clients. Constantly getting audited by the government because of unsafe and unhealthy conditions reported through employees.

Pros

Alpha House provides meaningful work that directly impacts the community and supports vulnerable individuals. Staff are passionate about the mission, and there are opportunities to collaborate with dedicated teams across shelter, housing, outreach, and administration. The organization continues to grow and evolve, creating opportunities for professional development and learning in a dynamic environment.

Cons

Like many nonprofit organizations, resources can be limited and workloads can be high. Organizational growth and change can sometimes create communication challenges and uncertainty around processes. Some departments experience varying management styles, which can impact employee experience and consistency.
