Pros

People almost never get fired even for blatant incompetence Sense of stability because it always feels short-staffed

Cons

Overall morale is through the floor, and managers seem to respond to it by micro-managing and criticizing, treating with a sense of suspicion. Pay around 50% of market range for comparable jobs. Largely dead-end positions with no real avenue for growth. There are vague, empty promises given, hints that "in a few months something may open up". Total lack of transparency from leadership to the rest of the staff Systemic communication breakdown where leadership "solves" problems that they perceive without consulting with the various departments who understand the problem, exacerbating existing issues and damaging team morale.

Pros

Flexible hours are the only pros I can think of.

Cons

My experience was impacted by a management culture that relied heavily on micromanagement rather than trust and empowerment. Innovation was often met with resistance, and there was limited opportunity to influence technical direction or drive meaningful change. Many senior team members preferred maintaining legacy approaches and older technologies, making modernization efforts challenging. Career growth felt limited, as there was no formal annual performance review process, no clear career progression framework, and no annual salary increases despite employee contributions and performance. For engineers who enjoy continuous improvement, adopting new tools, and growing their skills, the environment may feel restrictive. Overall, the company could benefit from stronger leadership, greater openness to innovation, more structured employee development programs, and a transparent performance review and compensation process.
