Pros

- It’s an aesthetically pleasing environment. - Employee perks include discounted and occasionally complimentary spa services and retain credit bonuses.

Cons

- Severe micromanagement. For example: Manager will stand over your shoulder and literally point to the computer screen where to click, rather than trusting you to figure it out yourself. Other examples: manager critiques your posture, gets upset when employees have fun and laugh with each other, shushes employees, etc. - Snappy, rude instructions from management and co-workers. - Lack of employee morale rooted from micromanagement. - Strict no cell phone policy. If the general manager catches you, you will be met with glares, harshness and general inappropriate behavior that no employee should ever experience. - Low wages. - No health insurance options. - No growth opportunities. They eventually give each Front Desk Coordinator specific “manager” titles, which are just titles. - In general, this role has a low amount of duties/tasks to begin with. - Long periods of standing. Not ideal for those with injuries or back pain. - Schedule is not conducive to work/life balance.

Pros

I loved my coworkers and the providers/staff - all were knowledgable, friendly, and skilled at their positions. I enjoyed the relaxed environment and that we received spa credits as a perk so we could speak to the services better.

Cons

Hours were difficult (evening shifts and weekend hours required, and usually you didn't get consecutive days off) and workdays could be hectic. Finding coverage was on the employee and not the employer - it would've been helpful to have assistance with that. Clients could also be a handful and management often catered to them to an excess, which led to a lack of respect for staff from clientele.
