Pros
Overall culture and people in the area and on the teams that I work directly with are good people. Compensation seems fair. Benefits are typical. They offered me 10K more salary than I asked for because I under estimated myself. Transitioned to remote work with the pandemic and have been remote since. In my part of the company, work/life balance is good. As long as my work is done well and on time, I have freedom to adjust my days as needed. (reasonably)
Cons
Went through several org changes within a 5 year period. Had 3 different job titles with no change in the actual job. My department was sold to another company and because of another org change, my position will be eliminated. New positions were opened that they said were lateral/related, but the are not at all. Completely different role and qualifications. So there isn't much in the way of a career path or next steps. Also have not given any information on timeline for when I/we will be laid off other than the 'current year', so that's a huge unknown. Very much focused on 'the bottom line'. Company does not seem stable due to so many large and frequent changes.
