Pros

Good location, Casual Dress Environment, Summer Fridays, Great Holiday Party and a challenging fast paced environment that one can find rewarding (in the means of learning about the professions).

Cons

Too many to mention in detail but this place is highly disorganized, ineffective and overall the worst employer that I've had in my 30 years of experience. Senior Management are awful communicators, don't care about employees and extremely condescending in all interactions. They don't care about employees or their needs, awful benefits with extremely high deductibles, no perks and NO fun. This was the most miserable work environment I've ever worked in - too much politics and one spent more time trying to figure out "whose good side to stay on" rather than focusing on producing quality work. Stay far far away and don't waste your time. Oh (pay is not great either - as a top performer (4.2 out of a max of 5 points on the review scale) I received a 1.5% increase which was the top of the pool). Find a place and an organization that is worth your time an energy!

Pros

It was a really fun and young environment so as an intern I did not ever feel out of place.

Cons

Sometimes as an intern there can be a lack of work, just ask for more work and it will usually turn up.

Pros

Alloy is a nice place to start after graduating from college - it's a foot into media - and offers a great opportunity for graduates to see how things work at the bottom of the media food chain. Assistants are involved in the every day execution of media campaigns. Because assistants spend hours making confirmation phone calls with vendors, they are able to develop relationships and hone their soft skills. Alloy is also very generous with granting vacation and sick days - there is very little hassle. Work environment is very laid back - casual dress every day.

Cons

There is very poor internal communication. Everything seems to be so compartmentalized - assistants are not notified of new job openings within company. Employees must apply for positions considered promotions -- managers do not recommend members of their group -- this exacerbates employee/manager relationships because employees don't feel valued. Also, employees are not aware of what other groups/departments work on -- or even what other departments their exist within company. There is also no further education/tuition reimbursement program offered.
