Pros

Free pizza on Fridays. Free parking. Very small company.

Cons

No match on the 401k One week of vacation in the first year - no defined sick time. Health benefits are below average - $50 copay Extreme gender gap in wages - an experienced female helpdesk tech makes $33k while less experienced male techs make 45-50k The company looks for techs willing to start out at 21k and demands high level MSP work with extremely minimal training. Very top heavy in terms of management - 5 Directors and a President in a company of 15 people? Extremely hostile workplace - ideas are shot down with vitriol. Management calls techs "scumbags" and other things behind their backs.

Thank you for your detailed feedback on your concerns working for Alliance InfoSystems. As we continue to grow, we strive to recognize any areas for improvement and how to make the environment better for our employees. Being a small company, there are some challenges that we face that larger companies often are able to provide very easily. However, I'm happy to say that some of the concerns you had addressed have been improved. For instance, while we are not currently matching on 401k - we have been able to provide profit sharing for our employees for 2016 and 2017. Our vacation time is tiered based on longevity with the company, and there are now 5 days of sick time to be used each year for employees. We also cover a portion of our employees deductibles with the health plan and provide FSA options to use as well. We've also worked to create a better training environment for our technicians, as well as incentives for continued education and certification. Our Director of Technical Services has focused heavily on ensuring that new hires go through extended training sessions as well as shadowing, in order to get more accustomed to how we operate and help our clients. We're sorry that you felt it was a hostile workplace, especially since we want it to be a fun, friendly and family-like environment. While we can get busy, we make sure to recognize those times and do what we can to help ease that for our employees. Just like technology, we're constantly evolving and adjusting, so we do take ideas and opinions of our employees seriously and want to make sure they feel heard - and see that we're doing what we can to make it better for everyone in whatever way we can.

Pros

Ton of beneficial technical experience opportunities, challenging work environment, most employees are friendly and good people, not a bad place to get a little experience and move on, you can move up within if you leverage yourself properly or become good friends with the right staff, offer partly remote work and if you pull the right strings you can work fully remote.

Cons

Poor management communication, high expectations for employees yet non competitive pay, overworked often, most current employees had to threaten to leave to get paid properly, high employee turnover, questionable staffing decisions, don't value employees yet claim they love them, poor documentation causing you to go in blind eyed consistently, as you work there longer the little issues management causes get old.
