Pros

Not any anymore, sad to say.

Cons

Allegro Coffee used to be a good place to work until the parent company, Whole Foods Market, got their nasty fingers into it. They shove their store policies down our throats not realizing that Allegro doesn't operate like a store. Let's face it .. workers in a grocery store haven't exactly set their career aspirations real high. Sorry .. but they've ruined what used to be a family environment at this company.

Pros

One potential advantage of working at Allegro is that it operates as a subsidiary of Whole Foods Market and Amazon, which could present opportunities for upward mobility and career advancement within the larger corporate network. This connection might provide employees access to broader resources, training, and opportunities across the parent companies.

Cons

Allegro, once a respected leader in the coffee industry, has been stripped of its talent, brand equity, and culture. Rather than expanding, the company is shrinking, with constant speculation that Amazon will sell it off when the opportunity arises. Morale is low, and what was once a bustling manufacturing facility is now slowing down with less work available. Whole Foods replaced the entire leadership team with loyalists, aligning with a pattern of cronyism and favoritism seen within the organization. Allegro feels like a sinking ship, and it would be wise to jump ship while there’s still time.
