Pros
There are some decent people who genuinely want to get the job done correctly, a more structured coding system has been implemented to try and get POs and development all on the same page, and end of the year parties that bring th company a smidgen closer together.
Cons
First let's begin with the management. About 80% of the management holding people at Self Esteem are full of attitude and last minute urgency. This company oozes with favoritism to their "old dogs" whom have been with the company for a long time and a few people who are great at sucking up and throwing others under the bus after stealing their ideas. Don't get me wrong, its great to have people who have been with the company for so long, but not if the company is not doing well and those people do not want to change their ways....even for the better. A lot of the planning is thrown out the window until the last moment of the deadline meaning strain one the lower level employees. In relation to bad planning, bad "hiring" often occurs. People are hired who do not know what they are doing a lot of the time, nor are they qualified. These people are often the people who rise in the ranks faster by mooching off of the hardworking employees amd stealing the lime light and well, faking it to make it...thus creating more unqualified management positions.
