Pros
I recently joined Alkami. BTW, the best onboarding experience. Everything was ready and waiting with smiling faces from benefits to a great backpack to a computer set-up and ready to go. This all surprised me as they are one of the fastest growing software companies in Texas and I thought that they would be too busy to care, but you can tell they want you to feel how important the culture is from day one. I felt like an "Alkamist" from that moment on. I started in time to join the Alkami annual holiday party -now they know how to show appreciation to employees. Communications are good with the CEO giving a great end of year summary, regular updates on sales and go-lives, and looking forward to attending my first All-Hands Meeting in a couple of weeks.
Cons
Alkami has free and healthy lunch everyday - may be difficult to stick with my New Year's resolution to lose weight. But, really the truth is that it is a fast growing company so everyone is busy and it takes a lot to learn quickly and not always easy to get the information you need to get up to speed quickly. If I ask, I get help, but more focus on training would be good although they have Alkami University with a ton of training, and some great technology, Slack, that provides for fast communication. I can tell already that there will be some long hour days.
