Pros
The ability to work from home
Cons
I found the culture to be toxic which undermined employee engagement and created an environment of burnout. Many decisions were made without fully understanding the problem that was needing to be addressed (lack of critical thinking), meaning ineffective solutions were put forward. Poor performance was frequently overlooked, creating resentment on those who met/exceeded expectations. This created a culture where mediocrity was tolerated. Some leaders micromanaged which stifled creativity and autonomy. This reduced employee morale and left employees feeling their work was never good enough. Psychological safety was close to being non-exisistant as many feared retaliation or negative consequences if they shared their feelings/thoughts. All of the above contributed to high levels of stress and burnout.
