Pros
The schedule was good. Most employees are helpful and friendly. The community is small and values the hospital and the people that work there. Promised advancement opportunities
Cons
Nurse staff for the most part is pretty stuck up. I am a friendly person, I like to say hello when I pass a fellow employee in the hallway. After saying hello several times to several different nurses, when you are the only two people in the whole hallway, and receiving no response, no smile, no nod, no notice that I was even there, I quit talking to people also. Kind of depressing. The people in my department were friendly, worked hard, and I still consider most of them my friends. This small hospital was purchased by a larger hospital, and was forced to lay off several employees. They laid me off because I was the newest employee in that department, instead of forcing others into retirement that were due to retire that year anyway.
