Pros
Fast-paced environment with an energy level that is contagious. I have never worked with so many smart and talented individuals who are always willing to help each other out. The company demands a lot from its employees, but in return it makes a concerted effort to compensate them well, hear their feedback and make Akamai a great place to work.
Cons
Like many high-growth companies, Akamai has its share of growing pains, particularly in the areas of processes, systems and communication. The company acknowledges them and has made a point of prioritizing the areas which need to be addressed in order for the company to continue to scale.
