I intended to be at Airbus for about 2 years and have ended up being there for 12 so far. I think this is quite common. It is a very big company and if you want to grow you need to be open minded, to network and to look for new roles every 2 to 3 years. It is a real trans national company which makes a cool product
Cons
Brexit us very worrying for the long term future of Airbus commercial in the uk. The future could be fantastic but equally the sites could disappear in 10 to 15 years time. A lot of this depends on how plugged I the uk top management are to the European centre (worrying thought!) The company is also bureaucratic and political due to aerospace regulations and it's size and complexity. You need to be prepared to understand and navigate thus
