Pros

You will develop an exceptionally high tolerance for chaos and dysfunction. Useful life skill, terrible way to acquire it.

Cons

There is no defined job description, no clarity of roles, and no boundaries — and I mean that literally. You may find yourself working out of the CEO's personal residence under the banner of "company work." Apparently, the line between professional and personal does not exist here, and no one in leadership finds that remotely concerning. Growth? Innovation? Smart work? None of that is welcome. This is an organisation that proudly rewards hard work over efficient work — grinding for the sake of grinding, with no vision behind it. If you are seen doing smart work seating at your desk that will surely creates a bad impression in front of top management. The CEO operates with zero regard for personal time. Weekend texts are routine. Last-minute tasks are a daily ritual — tasks, mind you, that were planned a week in advance but will land on your plate at 11 PM on a Sunday because that is simply how things are run here. 24/7 availability is not a perk they offer — it is an expectation they impose. A word of serious caution: be very careful about who you trust here. The people closest to the CEO and the Chief of Staff are the most politically dangerous individuals in the building — and that circle, remarkably, includes everyone including housekeeping staff. In this company, proximity to power comes in many forms, and it can derail your career before you even see it coming. If you are considering joining, please reconsider. There are better opportunities in the tri-city. This is not one of them. Specifically if you planning to join in a support function role, then refrain.

Pros

Exposure to high-pressure situations, though largely due to lack of structure rather than intentional development

Cons

Leadership is the biggest problem here. The CEO is completely disconnected from reality — takes credit for every deal but has little to no real involvement in closing them. Very high on ego, very low on accountability. There’s zero structure or seriousness when it comes to business. Calls you for meetings from another city and then doesn’t show up, with random excuses. Meanwhile, priorities seem to be elsewhere. Sales team has no clarity, no support, and no incentives. You’re expected to deliver numbers with no backing. Reimbursements are constantly delayed, and salaries aren’t reliable either. Finance is more focused on internal politics and pleasing the top leadership than actually doing their job. The company is struggling financially, and it shows in every function. Layoffs have already happened, and instead of fixing things, the focus is on managing perception. HR and founder’s office are actively pushing people to post fake positive reviews to hide the ground reality. No appraisals for the last two years. People have mentally checked out. Moonlighting is common because no one feels secure or valued. Work culture is honestly one of the worst I’ve seen — toxic, political, and directionless. Don’t be misled by recent positive reviews; all are planted. If you want the real picture, just reach out to current or former employees directly — you’ll hear the same story.
