Pros
None really except that it's fun and different working around aircraft
Cons
Poor pay, management dont care about you, when you work back you get no over time (even if you have been there for 15 hours straight), always understaffed and everything is a rush. They talk about how safety is the number one priority yet they have barely any people on and push you harder and harder. No real training for critical roles, you are just expected to teach yourself then get in trouble when you make a mistake. You are more so expected to stay back rather than asked if there is a delay or problem. If you have plans at times you have to fight to go on your rostered time. I understand the difficult hours because it's shift work that's fine but going to work at 3:40am to finish at 6:40am is a joke. Finally there is no real point of upskilling as most of the time you don't get paid any extra whilst doing far more and taking on more responsibilities.
