Pros
-Great Place to start your career or if you're new to Amsterdam/Europe -Amazing and smart colleagues -A lot of trust given to you to get stuff done -Always learning, everyone is approachable, you're thrown into the deep end and you learn to swim very fast, building your confidence -Flexible working options -Awesome company events I really cherished my time at Adyen. I've made some lifelong friends here. The work I did for clients truly satisfied me.
Cons
-Below market pay. This was fine for me when I was new in Europe, but became sad knowing I could get much more elsewhere for my skillset. There's such a high inflow of new hires that they may never need to raise the pay bar. If you are top talent, you'll probably get offered x2, x3 your pay after a few years by some recruiters from other fintechs. -Chest thumpers get ahead, this is generally true for many companies. Visibility is very important if you want to move up your career in Adyen. If you're the modest, humble, more introverted type, you'll be fine, but you'll have to rely on others who see your work to vouch for you.
