Pros

There is none.. They sell you a bill of goods and don’t follow through.. I left and so did 2 other salesman.. One was a veteran and a top salesman in the company... They wouldn’t invoice the insurance company and jobs would be done for weeks and you couldn’t get your commission until insurance company paid.. I’d run from this company!!! I wasn’t paid for any of my jobs and either was the Veteran who worked for them... If they aren’t willing to pay a veteran for the work that was sold do you really think they are going to pay you... They also call all employees when they get a bad review on here and tell them to write good reviews about the company.. I talked to several employees who they asked to do that after there last bad review...

Cons

Run!!!!! Run Run Run Run

I would like to start by thanking you for your service to our company. We were disappointed to hear of your resignation because we felt that, although you had a long way to go with understanding how the insurance restoration process works on a seasonal basis, you showed great promise for the short time that you were here. However, we are grateful that you chose to resign as opposed to continue to work with such sour feelings in your heart. Our organization works better when our employees are engaged and committed to their work of serving our customers and make an effort to see the company as an organization that is improved by their contributions rather than a personal ATM machine. As for the “selling a bill of goods and don’t follow through”. We have experienced exponential growth every year we have been in business. We have added 40 people to our employee headcount this year alone. We now employ over 100 people in 5 states. The delays experienced in our accounting department with respect to invoicing are a symptom of the message we continue to deliver to everyone, and its that we are growing and that we have and abundance of income, personal and professional growth opportunities. As an organization, we are following through on our promises. This brief delay in invoicing is a result of our significant growth once again. With respect to the claim that we do not pay commissions, in 2017, we paid over $6M in salary and commissions to our sales team, many of whom are veteran sales people who have been with us for multiple seasons or who have performed so well that they’ve earned promotions. We are absolutely committed to paying our employees. When someone resigns, the have chosen to end the employment relationship. It is generally understood that when you quit, you stop getting paid. With all of that being said, we care about the satisfaction of our employees and we care about our Glassdoor reviews. We always want the Glassdoor community to be able to see the full picture of our culture. It should not be a surprise to anyone that when we get a poor Glassdoor review, that we reflect on the feedback, then circle back with our employees to see if the experience posted is reflective of the company in general and when it is not, we ask for people to share a more accurate and widely shared feeling of working here.

Thank you for sharing your experience and highlighting one of the best aspects of a sales career at Advocate Construction. The ability to work outdoors while directly assisting homeowners in our own communities is a major draw for our team. For individuals who enjoy working with the public but are exhausted by the demanding hours and capped earning potential often found in retail, hospitality, or traditional customer service roles, this position offers a refreshing and dynamic alternative where your dedication directly translates to high rewards. We also appreciate your positive feedback on our recently simplified compensation structure. Our current structure of a reliable base salary paired with a robust system of bonuses was designed to reward those who put in the effort and drive results. We strive to support our team members by equipping them with tech-savvy tools, our company truck program, and a supportive culture that values continuous improvement and accountability. We're grateful for your hard work in the Milwaukee market and look forward to celebrating many more of your successes in the field.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review and for recognizing the strong earning potential available to our sales representatives. In addition to a competitive base salary, PTO and a comprehensive benefits and insurance program, we have built a monthly incentive program designed to generously reward team members for generating leads and bringing on new customers. This allows us to foster an achievement-based environment where earning potential is driven by results in the field and individual contribution. To further support our sales and field operations teams, we offer a company truck program and also equip our teams with modern technology to streamline workflows, improve efficiency, and support success in the field and office. We appreciate your constructive advice regarding communication. We rely heavily on honest perspectives from our team to help us refine our operations, as standing still simply does not align with our culture. Instead, we actively seek out ways to elevate our standards and adapt. We look forward to your continued growth with us.
