Pros
If you are placed as an RSM you have independence to basically be your own boss while out on the field. You are given 3 inclement weather days for when it is clearly unsafe to be out in the field. Depending on who your supervisor is you may learn to either love or hate your job.
Cons
The ware and tear of your car. You are not given a company vehicle so you basically are risking your own car at your expense. Although you are reimbursed for milage its not nearly enough to cover the cost of maintenance or gas. A majority of your time, depending on your territory may be sitting in traffic to and from your first and last destination. It can become frustrating especially in the winter and rain traveling from store to store lugging large displays that are not guaranteed approval by your store managers. Like I stated in the headline, you really must have a passion for retail and the postion that you are in in order to want to excel and reach higher heights within the company. Over all . . . car will gain hundreds of miles a month and you are no reimbursed much for gas nor maintenance. You will get at tops $20 a week depending upon the distance driven.
