Cons
Working at AdvancedBits was one of the most frustrating experiences of my career. The root of the problem lies with the CEO, Paul George. His poor decision-making has cost the company countless employees, and he treats people as if they’re disposable. He has absurd expectations but never makes them clear, nor does he work with you to resolve issues. Instead, he reacts with anger, almost childishly. The company operates with outdated equipment, rampant nepotism, and blatant favoritism—especially toward women, thanks to the CEO. There’s no accountability, no real direction, and no clear company goals. Despite being labeled a tech company, it hardly feels like one. It’s baffling that this place is still running. Pay practices are another disaster. They’ll hire you for a role you’re not qualified for, underpay you, and then demand the results of someone far more experienced—all without offering training or guidance. Over the past year, all the company’s veterans—people with 10+ years of experience—have left, driven away by the CEO’s toxic leadership. I spent three years rebuilding their support teams, turning them into something functional and effective. Once those teams were running well, the CEO tried to push me into a project management role, which I never wanted. The projects team was in shambles, just like the rest of the company, so I declined. His response? He fired me during the holidays. This company is also fighting a lawsuit from a former employee and will likely face more legal trouble soon :) They’ve been hemorrhaging major clients, and it’s only a matter of time before the entire operation collapses. I wouldn’t recommend AdvancedBits to anyone. It’s the worst IT support company in Boca Raton, and working there is a nightmare. The CEO’s baffling combination of intelligence and incompetence should be studied. If he can find any success, truly anyone can. Avoid this company at all costs.
