Pros
The Manager will defend and improve the department based on suggestions from his Team. The Team Leads are extremely helpful in learning about the product. They will strive to help you improve on and off work hours. The learning experience is like no other. Within less than 3 months you’ve learned about the Product, Databases, Customer Relations, Active Directory, Reporting Services, Crystal Reports, Failovers, AWS and so much more. Department overall is very Team friendly and relaxed.
Cons
The Workload can build up quickly and while fun and great for learning can lead to Burnout within a few months. Regular 9 hour days (1 hour lunch) are possible but as issues which need to be escalated build up and customers become extremely demanding, 10 hour days + or working off hours will be needed to catch up. Really dependent on Shift/Customers and Experience in Networking TCP/IP model at a high level. Documentation and training could be improved. (I may have come in at a weird time but my Trainer/Lead changed 3 times)
