- Family-owned, private company - They made the workers feel like family - If sales targets were met, you were generally free to operate however you pleased as long as you closed the sale, even if it meant following your gut instead of their sales training - They were fairly flexible about long lunches, arriving late, or leaving early, as long as you hit goals and made up lost time some other day

- Daily calls were monitored, even if you were hitting your sales targets. I had a higher conversion rate and was able to hit goals without making the "required" number of daily calls yet they often gave me warnings about call volume (I understand that they wanted to extract even more profitability from me, but the commission structure wasn't a good motivator) -Commission was low for the amount of revenue you were bringing in, e.x. every sales rep got 3% of margin and then an additional 1% of revenue if personal sales targets were hit, but this never increased as employee profitability increased. Several reps in the company would pull in over $1,000,000 in margin per year for the company, yet they were still stuck at the standard 3% margin and 1% revenue of other reps, despite their success. They were so skilled that they could easily make more in medical/pharmaceutical/tech sales. If you're good, go somewhere that has a better commission structure.
