Pros
I had a great crew with a very successful store. We were often on top of the district for sales and we gained a huge customer following. We were known for our excellent service and we worked harder than most to find solutions to customers problems. The company gave us the power to do this, giving us the tools to become the best in the area. Our leaders were hands on and we're always there to coach us along the way.
Cons
Around 2016 the company's values changed. AAP valued profits and money more than their employees. AAP started going after the quick buck instead of building a customer base and solidifying themselves in the community. Base pay is minimum wage without much exception. Raises were VERY small and hard work was is longer rewarded. At AAP you are replaceable, you are not special and you are not important. Sad, I liked it there.
