Pros
The clinic I was at had a lot of promise to be a positive, engaged clinic. The families are great and there have been some incredible, hardworking RBTs who have kept the clinic afloat.
Cons
When I began at AFL, I saw so much potential for an enthusiastic, connected clinic. I was sold a lot of wonderful pipe dreams from leadership. When the promises began to crumble, I decided it was time to go. The “leadership” at Adapt for Life is questionable at best. They been known to have tendencies towards showing abject favoritism, bullying towards other staff and general mismanagement. RBTs often go feeling unheard and feel like leadership goes unchecked. Many staff members feel targeted as a result of petty dislikes from those in or closely affiliated with the leadership team. This behavior unfortunately often draws away from what should be the focus of the job: the clients. The culture is toxic and not conducive to quality therapy sessions for clients. It is very disheartening to see and unfortunately turned me off from ABA as a whole.
