Pros
The only good thing I learned working at ActioNet was that I made a couple good friends. That's about it. I wouldn't say I learned anything job related except maybe how to become efficient at writing worthless documents.
Cons
Where to start? - Slow, slow, SLOW development of anything. - Everything you do requires 10 procedural, unnecessary documents which inhibit you from doing any actual work. Nothing /really/ get's done at ActioNet. - Terrible management. Developers/Designers thrown into the roll with no experience. - Bad communication of goals to team members; bad communication throughout the organization - Old, stale workplace. Drab. - Backstabbing of co-workers. - Trash talking of co-workers. - VERY low pay for the industry; my next job was nearly double - Benefits are decent, but nothing to go home about - Lots of people I worked with were at least 5 years behind in terms of technology. Trying to teach them new technology led to them running off to the boss and complaining. Unfortunately, the company still lands huge contracts with many government agencies...I'm not quite sure how. I made 2 good friends at this company and we stood by each other. Everyone else on my team was to much of a baby to stand up to management and say anything they truly believed.
